Solo Show
October/November 2024
I am excited to announce that I have been invited to exhibit my paintings in a solo show this fall at the Center on Halsted in Chicago. The exhibit will feature recent paintings that explore different subjects and styles connected by the thread of exploration of new approaches and directions in my work.
Inspiration for the paintings that have been selected has come from the natural world, sometimes in its pristine state, sometimes altered by humanity, and sometimes, as I imagine it, beyond the confines of our planet.
Please join me on the evening of Friday, October 4th at the opening reception. The paintings will be on exhibit through the end of November.

Summer Exhibition and Open Studios Evening - JULY 20, 2024

Be Mine, 2024
One of my newest pieces, titled “Unrequited,” has been selected for the 2024 Be Mine conceptual art exhibition. I haven’t yet added it to the website, so you’ll have to come to the show to see it. With an opening reception on February 10 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m, the show runs through March 28.

Open Studios Evening
Join me and nearly sixty other artists at Greenleaf Art Center for the launch of a new exhibit on Friday, May 27th. There’s lots to see and some new artists to get to know. What better way to kick off the Memorial Day Weekend than with a LOT of interesting and beautiful and thought provoking and just plain fun art?!!.
New Studio Space
I’m happily settling into a new studio space at Greenleaf Art Center. This space is large enough for me to have great workspace AND a couple of good gallery walls. Moves offer opportunities to clear out some of the clutter that accumulates and open up to fresh ideas and approaches. As the months unfold, I’m predicting I’ll have some good stories about exploring new creative paths with canvas and paints.
Greenleaf Art Center - Fall 2021 Exhibit
Artist Statement is the theme of this group exhibition at Greenleaf Art Center (1806 W. Greenleaf Avenue, Chicago, IL. 60626). The exhibit runs from October 29 - December 31, 2021.
On Friday, October 29, nearly 400 visitors braved the blustery weather to visit the exhibit and also meet and chat with the Center’s artists in our studios. With more than sixty artists work on exhibit and nearly that many welcoming visitors to their studio spaces, there was “something for everyone” to enjoy.
I had a a great time chatting with visitors and was delighted that five of my paintings found new homes that evening.

The Box Show at August House Studio
Who could turn down an invitation to to paint a box? Not me! In fact, I painted two for this show which runs from October 1st through November 13, 2021 at August House Studio (2113 W. Roscoe, Chicago, IL. 60618). Opening night was October 1st with more than 250 visitors that evening.
Boxes are tricky. Think about it for a minute. There’s an outside and an inside. And each of these has six sides - four walls, a top and a bottom. There was way more to think about than I’d first imagined.
